This was the first letter of a series of letters I’ve written my daughter.

You have a purpose. Find it early. You have a voice. Know when to use it. You are worthy and valuable. Don’t depend on anyone else to tell you. Know your worth. Never settle.

I want you to be confident. In your skin, in your beauty, in your intelligence.

I want you to be bold.

Find your talent. Embrace it, bless the world with it.

Love yourself deeply. This world is cruel, please give love, always.

Know that you don’t need anyone to be happy. Don’t find happiness in anyone else. They will let you down and take happiness with them.

Be true to yourself. Always live your truth. One person you can’t lie to, is you.

Independence is freedom. Don’t drag yourself for anyone.

Overall, be you. You’re unique, you’re beautiful in every way.

Always remember I’ll be here.
